OxyGeneo Technology – The Bohr Effect

OxyGeneo technology is based on the body`s response to the presence of high levels of CO2. When the body detects high concentrations of CO2 in certain tissues, it responds immediately in three important ways:

1. Oxygen enriched blood will flow to areas of high CO2 concentration.
2. Oxygen will be more easily released by red blood cells in areas of high CO2 concentration.
3. Free red blood cells eliminate excess CO2 from this area through the respiratory system.

In other words, a temporary increase in the level of CO2 causes natural oxygenation through the interior of the body. This physiological response was first described by a physicist named Christian Borh in 1904. Today known as The Bohr Effect.

OxyGeneo Technology – How it works

OxyGeneo uses the Borh effect to oxygenate the skin through the inside of the body. The OxyGeneo treatment is based on a single capsule, called Capsugen, and one of two special treatment gels (NeoRevive and NeoBright), enriched with nutrients and active ingredients.

The reaction between Capsugen and gels produces an innumerable amount of CO2 bubbles on the surface of the skin.

At the same time, Capsugen becomes more abrasive and exfoliates the outer layer of dead skin. Exfoliation allows CO2 bubbles to be diffused into the skin and creates a CO2-rich environment. The body immediately triggers the Bohr Effect; increases circulation in this area, brings oxygen-rich blood to skin cells and removes excess CO2.

The skin remains oxygenated and cell metabolism reaches the top. Now the cells are in optimal conditions to absorb and use the nutrients.

OxyGeneo Treatment in brief

OxyGeneo offers two treatment gels enriched with nutrients and active ingredients: NeoRevive is primarily designed for skin rejuvenation and NeoBright for lightening the complexion.

Each OxyGeneo treatment is divided into two stages:

First the exfoliation of dead cells, the infusion of the active ingredients of the NeoRevive or NeoBright treatment gel and the oxygenation of the skin simultaneously for a period of 10 minutes. Subsequently, the treatment gel is applied again to be infused by the NeoMassage. This OxyGeneo exclusive massage activates the microcirculation, which causes a supply of oxygen and nutrients to the skin cells.

 Treatment Plan and Maintenance

It is recommended to do a course of 4 to 6 sessions, spaced at intervals of at least a week, to enjoy a cumulative result and long term. Following your cure, we recommend four annual treatments, one per season, to optimize the long-term effects and maintain the results.
