Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy or Vampire Lift

Vampire Lift / Platelet-rich plasma therapy PRP in Blainville

Get a healthier-looking skin and a younger you

Cosmetic surgery can remove excess skin and give you a more youthful appearance, but a surgical lift may be more than you want or need at the moment. Dermal filler injections can restore lost volume, but do not improve skin complexion or texture.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections can regenerate skin tissue and improve its tone and texture, giving you younger, healthier-looking skin.

What does PRP involve?

The procedure involves taking a small amount of blood from your arm, then placing it in a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells from the plasma that will be used for your treatment. Plasma contains a high concentration of platelets, growth factors and stem cells, all of which are naturally present in the body.

The resulting serum, which is rich in growth factors, is reinjected into the skin of the face, neck and neckline using fine needles. It can also be used in conjunction with microneedling. The injection process activates the cells to regenerate tissue by forming new collagen fibres. It also stimulates the growth of new blood vessels for optimal irrigation of the skin cells.
PRP can be used at any age, to restore skin’s radiance, to stop hair loss and stimulate regrowth, or to improve joint and tendon function, reducing inflammation and pain by healing the tissues concerned.

A three-session course of therapy is recommended to improve the appearance and elasticity of the skin of the face, neck and neckline. PRP will give skin a healthy glow and improve a dehydrated, devitalized appearance or a dull complexion. It can also be used on skin of the hands, arms, back and thighs that is showing signs of age (wrinkles, loss of firmness).

This is a completely natural and biocompatible technique, so there is no risk of rejection or an allergic reaction. Injecting PRPs encourages cell regeneration as well as biostimulation, resulting in better vascularization of the tissue. It is suitable for mild to moderate signs of aging. The client must also be healthy and have realistic expectations.

What to expect from PRP?

The nurse will take blood from you and place it in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma from the red blood cells. The plasma is then collected with a syringe that will be used to inject it into your skin. An anesthetic cream can be applied to the target area to alleviate discomfort during the procedure. The plasma is injected superficially into the skin. The growth factors and proteins it contains will stimulate stem cells in the different areas treated.

A facial treatment usually takes between 45 minutes to an hour. This includes the time required for the topical anesthetic to take effect.

Expected results from platelet-rich plasma therapy

Clients may notice a clear improvement in skin texture within a few days of the procedure. For scalp treatments, it will take nearly a month to notice a decrease in hair loss and regrowth of new hair bulbs. Several sessions a year are recommended to extend or improve the results.

Depending on the condition of the treated area, the client’s age, state of health and lifestyle, optimal results can be achieved after three to six treatments at three-week intervals.
